Mick Rock. The Rise of David Bowie. 1972–1973 ist eine eindrucksvolle Hommage an die frühen 1970er Jahre und den legendären Aufstieg von David Bowie zur Kunstfigur Ziggy Stardust. Das Fotobuch dokumentiert den Moment, in dem Bowie Musik, Identität und Performance neu definierte und zu einer der prägendsten Ikonen der Popkultur wurde.

Der Band wurde 2015 unter Mitwirkung von David Bowie von Mick Rock zusammengestellt, seinem engsten fotografischen Begleiter während der Ziggy-Ära. Mick Rock hatte direkten Zugang zu Bowie und schuf eine der wichtigsten visuellen Dokumentationen der Rockgeschichte.
