philosophy
We are pleased to be able to introduce ourselves and our philosophy. GutRaum8 was created because we love the beautiful and the special. We like to decorate our own homes or help friends to do so. However, we often find it difficult to find the perfect piece - be it Lamps , individual furniture or Accessories . That’s when we came up with the idea of creating an online shop for selected home accessories to open – and to take the “selected” really seriously.
We do not simply order the complete range from one supplier and then resell it. We look for inspiration and New products , the rarely seen and the extraordinary. We travel a lot and browse through trade fairs, markets and shops. We are interested in unusual accessories that embellish a room in an unusual way, and original light sources that create a special ambience.
You will not find anything here that we do not like. We cannot cater to every taste, but our own style and the authenticity are more important to us than quantity and arbitrariness.
Because we are asked again and again, we would like to explain how the name of our online shop came about.
GutRaum8 stands for:
- the good and beautiful for the home.
- good rooms, i.e. rooms in which you feel comfortable and enjoy spending time.
- Room to breathe, room for ideas.
- the 8 corners of a room on the floor and ceiling, between which a large part of our life takes place.
- 8 as the number of harmony and energy.
