The artist:
Santiago Calatrava , born in Valencia in 1951, studied architecture at ETH Zurich. His best-known projects include the Milwaukee Art Museum , the Valencia Opera House , the Olympic Sports Complex in Athens, and the World Trade Center Transportation Hub in New York.
The author:
Philip Jodidio studied art history at Harvard and was editor-in-chief of Connaissance des Arts . For TASCHEN, he wrote numerous architectural monographs on architects such as Tadao Ando , Norman Foster , Renzo Piano , and Zaha Hadid .
